Newborn studio session
There’s a moment in every newborn session that gets me—every single time.
It’s not the perfectly wrapped pose or the tiny yawn (although, let’s be honest, those deserve their own fan club). It’s the way mom instinctively leans in without thinking. The way dad holds this brand-new human like he’s both completely in awe and slightly terrified he might break them. It’s the quiet, unspoken “we made this” energy that fills the room.
And that moment? It deserves to live somewhere outside of your camera roll!!! I'm talking to you, 47,793 iPhone images!
Because while your baby will change overnight—truly, overnight—you are changing too. You’re becoming their safe place, their whole world, and that connection in these early days is something you’ll never quite replicate again. Beautiful, yes—but fleeting in a way that sneaks up on you.
Now let’s talk reality for a second.
You’re pregnant. You’re tired. You’ve Googled things at 2am that you probably wish you hadn’t. The idea of planning ahead for photos might feel like something Future You can deal with.
But here’s the catch: Future You will be holding a baby… wondering where the time went… wishing Past You had just gone ahead and booked the session.
Newborn photography isn’t something you can circle back to “later.” These sessions are best captured within those first couple of weeks when baby is still in that sleepy, curled-up stage. And because of that tiny, unpredictable arrival window, I only accept a limited number of newborns each month to make sure I’m available when your baby makes their debut.
Which means—if you wait too long, my calendar may already be full.
The sweet spot? Your second trimester. That’s when we reserve your due date and hold space for you, so when baby arrives, everything is already taken care of. No scrambling. No stress. Just showing up (in whatever version of “put together” feels realistic that day—I promise, I’ve seen it all).
During your full newborn session at my Magnolia, TX studio—just minutes from The Woodlands—we’ll create space for both the posed images you love and the meaningful, connected family moments you’ll treasure even more over time.
The family portion takes place in the lifestyle area of the studio, filled with soft, natural light that wraps around you in the most flattering, effortless way. If there are siblings involved, we start with them first (because little attention spans and patience levels are… negotiable at best). Then we ease into those quiet moments with just you and your baby—the snuggles, the forehead kisses, the way they fit perfectly against your chest.
No stiff posing. No pressure to be anything other than exactly who you are in this season.
And yes—you might feel a little tired. You might wonder if you look as put together as you hoped. But I promise you this: when you see your images, none of that will matter. You’ll see love. You’ll see connection. You’ll see the beginning of your story as a family, exactly as it was.
And you’ll be so glad you didn’t wait.
If this season is approaching for you, now is the time to reserve your spot—before your due date month fills up.
